We believe at Network of International Christian Schools and our school in Caracas, Venezuela that everything is from God, through God, and to God- to Him be the glory forever and ever (Romans 11:36). Our desire is to see God do the work in growing Christian education in international missions as well as freeing people to joyfully sacrifice temporary pleasures in lieu of supporting missions. What is the vision of the fund?
1. That funds would be provided to purchase a school building/ teacher housing for the International Christian School- Caracas. Currently teachers are suffering from a lack of stable, safe affordable housing. Teachers are paid between $8,000- $11,000 a year and average rent prices for 1 bedroom apartments are at least $1500 a month in our area. There is a huge need for housing for teachers in order to continue this ministry in Caracas. As housing needs are met, the building can be also be used to provide extra classroom space as well.
What happens with the money given to the building fund through the TENBUCKS program?
100% of the money donated through TENBUCKS will:
Be tax deductible (in the U.S.)
Go entirely to the purchase of the ICS school/housing (no money is used for overhead)
Be a worshipful experience even if given sacrificially when done with a cheerful heart for the glory of God.
What is the goal?
500 families will be originally contacted by constituents of ICS-Caracas via email, facebook, phone calls, skypes, and mail. Our prayer is that 200 of these families will not only believe in the TENBUCKS program but that they will bring 4 more people on board by October 2009 (why waste time!). In one year’s time $520,000 will be raised by the summer of 2010 allowing the building to be purchased with time to have it ready for teachers to live in for the 2010-2011 school year.
How do I give?
You can give in a lump sum of $520 or you can give monthly. You can also give a different amount if so led. We can set up a monthly withdrawal directly from your bank account, or you can mail in a check. If you mail in a check you need to write it to NICS and in the memo line you would have to write #022001. Network of International Christian Schools

U.S.A. Who is giving?
Everyone! Middle schoolers foregoing movies, high schoolers downgrading their cell phone plans, college students who are packing their lunch during their summer job instead of eating out, a single who has decided to do without cable television for a year, families who are getting all of their children involved, middle agers tired of giving their money to the stock market, and retirees who are championing this in their churches.
Are we being out of touch with reality in promoting a capital campaign during a recession?
We actually believe the current recession can be the perfect stimulus package to get the American church to give more than ever like its predecessor- the early Church (Hebrews 10- below)- reestablishing that our faith is not in 401k’s, insurance plans, job security- but in the One who is coming back! Therefore we believe God is giving, we are receiving, and we return back to Him worship through the way we live out such faith (Romans 11:36). 34You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. 38But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." 39But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. Hebrews 10
We hope that Tenbucks will get bigger and bigger benefiting many international ministries. And this will happen as the American church realizes the power of refocusing their expendable income to intentionally invest their money in missions for the growth of the kingdom and of God- the very ministry and heart of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
